We Can't Do Everything!

John Bolton, President Bush's failed pick to be our Ambassador to the U.N., has stated in an interview with Andrew Sullivan that we are not responsible for Iraq. Somehow, the Iraqi people need to step up and make things right.



So, let's review for a moment because this smacks of the nonsensical. We attacked Iraq. We have now occupied the country for around four years. We - the United States - are responsible for destroying the Iraqi infrastructure. Before the war began Iraq had a sewage system, a water system, electrical services, a hospital system, a military, and they had a working government and vibrant economy. We destroyed all of these things.
