If you are traveling to Thailand, heed the warning.

Traveling to Thailand is as safe as it was the day before the coup - maybe even safer now. Martial law is still in effect, but it really doesn't affect anything that tourists do. You can still move about the country with ease, visit all the temples and shop until you drop. You still need to be carefule, like you would when visiting any foreign country. Don't forget to register your trip with the state department or your local embassy. And, follow the following U.S. State Department waring:
